One way we deliver on this philosophy is by offering patients the option to be asleep or sedated during their dental treatments. This procedure, known as Sleep Dentistry, Dentistry Asleep, or Sleep and Sedation Dentistry involves the use of some level of sedation to make the patient unconscious or asleep. The dental procedures are then performed while you’re in this state.
We understand that some people experience high levels of anxiety just thinking about visiting the dentist. A typical Sleep Dentistry team consists of a Dental Surgeon, one of our highly trained Anaesthesiologists (either Dr. Fabien Charbonneau or Dr. Rakesh Bhandari), a Registered Nurse, one of Dr. Papneja’s certified Dental Assistants along with one of our knowledgeable Treatment Coordinators.
