Meet Our Specialists

Dr. Peter Bellingham is a certified dental specialist in root canal therapy. Dr. Bellingham graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Queen’s University and received his D.M.D. from Harvard University. He then attended the post-graduate endodontics program at the University of Maryland.

During this three-year residency, Dr. Bellingham gained extensive training in non-surgical and surgical root canal therapy, and received a Master of Science degree for his clinical research comparing the effectiveness of root canal disinfecting techniques.

Dr. Bellingham is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and serves as a clinical instructor in endodontics at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry. During Dr. Bellingham’s personal time, he looks forward to relaxing at the cottage and enjoying the outdoors.

Dr. Kerry D’Costa is a certified dental specialist in Periodontics. Dr. D’Costa graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He began his dental training at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University and then obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and Master of Science (MSc) degree in Periodontology from the University of Toronto.

During his three-year residency, Dr. D’Costa gained extensive surgical experience in periodontal flap surgery, soft tissue and bone grafting, site development & ridge augmentation, and implant surgery. He is also certified in IV moderate conscious sedation.

Dr. D’Costa is also a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, playing golf and tennis and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. G. Bhalla is our Certified Orthodontist on staff. Dr. Bhalla graduated from the University of New York in Buffalo in 1986 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. He then continued his education and graduated in 1988 from St. Louis University Medical Center with his Certificate of Orthodontics. In 1993, Dr. Bhalla became certified by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons.

Dr. Bhalla is a member of the Ontario, Canadian and American Associations of Orthodontists, the Ontario, Canadian and American Dental Associations, the Toronto Orthodontic Study club and finally the Mississauga Erin Mills Lions Club.

Dr. Bhalla has been with Dr. Papneja for a number of years. We’re glad he’s a part of our team.

Dr. Rakesh Bhandari MD, DA, FRCPC, is an anesthetist and an Associate Professor of Perioperative Medicine at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. He graduated from the MGM Medical College in Indore, India in 1976 and later completed his anesthesia training at the University of Vienna.

Dr. Bhandari received his certification in anaesthesiology from the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) in December, 1986. Over the past 30 years, he has provided clinical anesthesia care to patients in India, Austria, Canada, Guatemala and the US.

Dr. Fabien Charbonneau was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley area where he eventually attended the University of Ottawa Medical School, graduating in 1987. He then completed an internship in Toronto and in New Zealand. This was followed by some more training to become an anaesthesiologist at the University of Toronto.

His path then took him to the Milton District Hospital in 1990, where he started working as an anaesthesiologist. Dr. Charbonneau then started doing anaesthesia outside the hospital in dental offices and cosmetic centres. When he’s not working, he enjoys traveling all over the world, golfing, skiing, and spending time with his friends and family.

Dr. Mario Rotella is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (F.R.C.D.(C)), certified specialist in Prosthodontics.

Dr. Rotella received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Siena (Italy), where he graduated with summa cum laude.

He completed a 2-year Advance Education in General Dentistry program at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, University of Rochester, Rochester, NY. At the same institution, he completed a 3-year Prosthodontic program and a 1-year Implant surgical fellowship.

Dr. Rotella serves as examiner for the National Specialty Examination in Prosthodontics which is administered by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He is also a clinical instructor in Prosthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto.

On his free time, Dr. Rotella enjoys playing soccer, trying new restaurants and spending time with family and friends.
